What I do

Meals planned around your household

No one-size-fits-all packages. Choose what would help your household — or a combination of all of it.

  • Weekly in-home meals

Fully cooked meals for the week, made in your kitchen and packaged up so they are ready when you are.

    • Fully cooked meals for the week
    • Cooked in your home
    • Packaged up before I leave
  • Freezer meals and ready-to-bake

For the nights you want dinner without the prep: meals for the freezer, dishes ready to go in the oven, and items marinated and ready to cook.

    • Freezer meals
    • Casseroles and desserts ready to bake
    • Marinated items ready to cook
  • Cooking from what you already have

That overfilled pantry or freezer full of perfectly good ingredients you don't know what to do with? I'll build meals around it, so you use what you've already paid for instead of wasting it.

    • Meals built around your pantry and freezer
    • Using what you've already paid for
    • Less food thrown away
  • Dietary needs and picky eaters

Dietary needs, preferences and picky eaters are all part of the plan from the start, not something worked around afterwards.

    • Dietary needs planned in
    • Preferences for everyone at the table
    • Picky eaters included
  • Small events and private dinners

Private events and small gatherings, from a plated dinner to a spread for guests to help themselves.

    • Private events
    • Plated dinners
    • Grazing tables and buffets
  • Menu planning, shopping and cleanup

I take care of the parts around the cooking too: planning the menu with you, doing the grocery shopping, and leaving the kitchen clean.

How it works

From a first message to a clean kitchen

No set menus and no packages to choose between. The plan starts with your household.

  1. Send me a message

Call, email, or message me on Facebook or Instagram. A sentence about who you are cooking for is enough to start.

  2. We figure out what would help

We talk through your week, dietary needs and preferences, and what is already in your pantry and freezer. Then I plan around that.

  3. I shop and cook in your kitchen

I do the grocery shopping and cook in your home — fully cooked meals, freezer meals, ready-to-bake dishes, or a mix.

  4. Packaged up, kitchen left clean

Everything is packaged up and ready to go, and I leave the kitchen clean behind me.

About Chef Jeni

A little different from your typical meal prep

I'm a private chef with 25 years of experience, and One Bite at a Time is a little different from your typical meal-prep service. There are no set menus or one-size-fits-all packages. We figure out what would actually be helpful for your household, and I plan around that.

That might mean fully cooked meals for the week, freezer meals, casseroles or desserts ready to bake, marinated items ready to cook, snacks — or a combination of all of it. Dietary needs, preferences and picky eaters are all part of the plan.

I also specialize in using what you already have. That overfilled pantry or freezer full of perfectly good ingredients? I'll happily build meals around it, so you're using what you've already paid for instead of wasting it. I shop, cook in your home, package everything up and leave the kitchen clean.

Before you book

The things people ask first

Do you have set menus or packages?

No. There are no set menus or one-size-fits-all packages. We figure out what would actually be helpful for your household — fully cooked meals for the week, freezer meals, casseroles or desserts ready to bake, marinated items ready to cook, snacks, or a combination — and I plan around that.

Can you work around dietary needs and picky eaters?

Yes. Dietary needs, preferences and picky eaters are all part of the plan from the start. Tell me about everyone you're cooking for when you get in touch.

Can you cook with what's already in my pantry or freezer?

Yes, and I'm happy to. If you have an overfilled pantry or a freezer full of perfectly good ingredients you don't know what to do with, I'll build meals around it so you're using what you've already paid for instead of wasting it.

Where do you cook, and who cleans up?

I cook in your home. I do the grocery shopping, cook in your kitchen, package everything up, and leave the kitchen clean.

Which areas do you serve?

Snohomish County and select North King County areas. If you're not sure whether you're in range, send me a message and ask.

Which days do you have open?

Right now I'm looking for Wednesday and Friday clients. Send me a message and we can talk through your week.

Do you cook for events?

Yes — private events and small gatherings, as well as in-home meals. Send me a message with the date and roughly how many people, and we can talk it through.

Snohomish County, and select North King County.

Tell me a little about your household and what would make your week easier. Or know someone whose week could use a little less food-related stress? Send them my way.
